Tutor Terms and Conditions

1. Independent Contractor Relationship

Status: Tutors operate strictly as independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of Quality Home Tutors.

Tax Responsibilities: Tutors are solely responsible for reporting income, submitting tax filings, and paying all federal, state, and local taxes. Tutors are not eligible for company benefits, unemployment compensation, or worker's compensation.

2. Qualifications & Background Screening

Qualifications: Tutors warrant that all background details, credentials, degrees, and certifications provided during registration on qualityhometutors.com are accurate and truthful.

Background Checks: Tutors agree to complete criminal background checks and identity verification as required by Quality Home Tutors prior to receiving student matches.

3. In-Home Service Standards & Conduct

Professional Standards: Tutors must maintain high professional standards, arrive punctually for in‑home appointments, and deliver competent instruction tailored to the Student's needs.

Safety & Presence: Tutors must not conduct an in‑home session with a minor unless an adult (18+) is present on the premises.

Platform Logging: Tutors must log all completed session times and reports through the TutorCruncher system promptly upon session completion.

4. Non-Solicitation & Direct Client Contracting

Tutors agree that all clients or students introduced through qualityhometutors.com are clients of the Company.

Tutors are strictly prohibited from soliciting, accepting off‑platform payments from, or arranging private tutoring services with any Client or Student met via Quality Home Tutors.

Violation of this clause will result in immediate termination of the Tutor's account and potential legal action to recover lost commission revenue.

5. Compensation & Payment Disbursement

Client Payment Prerequisite: Tutors acknowledge that Client payments are due immediately at the conclusion of each session.

Payout Schedule: Quality Home Tutors will disburse payment to the Tutor within 7 to 10 business days after the Client's payment has been successfully received and cleared through qualityhometutors.com.

Failed Payments: Quality Home Tutors is not obligated to disburse payments for sessions where the Client's payment fails or is revoked, but will make reasonable efforts to recover funds on the Tutor's behalf.

6. Termination

Quality Home Tutors reserves the right to deactivate or terminate a Tutor's account at any time for violation of these Terms, unprofessional conduct, failure of background checks, or direct contracting violations.
